To the 'LLMs just interpolate their training data' crowd: mathematical truths don't report new facts about the world. Proofs unfold what is already implicit in axioms. I think that idea is deeply fascinating, AND have no problem that we still credit mathematicians with discoveries.

Note that VS Code is built on Electron and it is a pain to sandbox because Electron has (had?) SUID sandbox helper, and you cannot run SUID binaries in sandbox easily. Sandboxing on Linux is extremely difficult task.

Google does not hate us... it is worse than that - it is indifferent to us. Hate requires some sort of recognition. Overall Google is heading to an interesting place. It was state of the art but in 20 years it became just another conglomerate sacrificing quality for shareholder gain.

To be honest it's probably just jank on Google's end. There's a lot of delayed cause and effect in search, and it's much easier to make a minor mistake that excludes 0.1% of websites from crawling or indexing than it is to detect that it's happened.

There's a lot to unpack here. None of this is serious methodology. It's more of a PR statement. From their raw data, the 36 tests came from a much smaller handful of stores in urban locations - it's a much smaller sample size.

This is an obvious methodology problem, no? Bluetooth-enabled trackers are not recyclable, so they ended up getting sorted to landfill. All this proves is the sorting system works correctly.
