Hideki Sato, who joined Sega in 1971 and designed the Master System, Genesis/Mega Drive, Saturn, and Dreamcast, has died at age 77. He served as Sega president from 2001-2003 and was known for bringing arcade technology into home consoles. The Dreamcast was his final console design.
