I'm not sure how exactly they are making these calculations but I just don't see it. Both Reflect and SpaceX are targeting SSO orbits where they are only reflecting for an hour or two at sunset.

Armin Ronacher (Flask creator) found that Claude Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 5 are worse at tool calling than older models - they invent extra fields in nested arrays that don't match the schema, causing Pi to reject the calls. Older Claude models don't have this problem. He suspects it may be deliberate anti-distillation measures rather than a bug.

With the whole ecosystem stacked against new and indie authors, and AI getting so good I can see why some people could easily fall for this. I made the tough decision at the start of my Sci-Fi novel writing career to work 100% on the book and 0% on the marketing.
