As a security person it is tiring to see so many people claim this is less scary because the published exploit doesn't bypass ASLR. The writeup claims there's a way to reliably bypass it. ASLR is a defense-in-depth technique, not a complete protection.

I can't relate that much to this. Every time I use AI to write code, I'm constantly fighting a feeling that I need to look over everything it has done. That ick feeling counteracts the dopamine hit.

It's really cool seeing KDE make so much progress and turn into such a big, useful umbrella organization. Germany gets a lot of criticism but should be proud of both KDE and the Sovereign Tech Fund.
