Everyone says 'just use SSE with Last-Event-ID for durable LLM streams, it's easy.' The author contests this. To make streams resumable, you need to store every token in a database (huge write amplification for little value since most connections don't drop). Cancellations become awkward when dropped connections no longer mean cancel. Multi-device requires polling or complex state synchronization.

I've done this for a couple years now, cool to see it pop up here. We not only log but photograph everything, down to each clump of toilet paper. We check our progress by doing hundreds of tests identical to what the BLM does.
