Before SMTP won, X.400 offered recall, scheduled delivery, auto-destruct, linked message threads, and read receipts. It was standardized in 1984 by a UN committee, took 266 pages to describe, and died because SMTP was 68 pages and actually worked between different vendors.

The macro photography looks bizarrely uniform and the poses contrived. I feel like a sleuth trying to decide if this is AI generated or not. I suspect it isn't, but I'm somewhat distressed at how suspicious I am of cool things now.

Touch on MacOS is basically useless. Reaching up from keyboard/trackpad to touch the screen quickly gets fatiguing. It is not ergonomic.
