NIH-funded study of 100K+ diabetics found semaglutide users had 29% lower dementia risk than those on other diabetes drugs. The effect held for both type 2 diabetes and obesity patients. Researchers think it's not just weight loss since the cognitive benefits appear faster than expected.

I have been taking it for 6 months, and while I don't see any change in my memory (it seems as good as before), a lot of my bad habits just fell away. They were all easy to stop, so easy that it is incredibly weird. A near complete stop to compulsive lying, nail biting, a horrible caffeine habit. Being overweight. The actual feeling is that all these things are things I no longer want to do. No fight necessary. The evidence is looking like GLP-1s are a crucial part of the 'I want to do this' part of your brain.
