I was super-excited about vector search in 2024 but my enthusiasm has faded. LLMs with grep or full-text search are great at fuzzy search already.

You didn't build a search engine in 160 lines. You built a client for a search engine. The vector database is providing the search.

The database is now public and aims to improve disease modeling and shame current reporting standards into being better.

This is an excellent resource for building mathematical intuition through code. Start with a conjecture, visualize it with matplotlib, then prove it formally.

Markets are patterns of human behavior, not geographic labels. Saying 'we're entering the global market' is an admission that no meaningful decisions have been made. Real market entry requires breaking down into specific segments, running local experiments, and scaling only what works.
