If Flock truly believed that the domain name infringes on their trademark, they would file an ICANN UDRP complaint instead of Cloudflare and Hetzner abuse reports. But they don't, because the former would require them to perjure themselves.

My city just ended our pilot Flock program. I hope others do the same. But I think the real issue with Flock will be private security. Random Home Depot parking lots, etc.

My best Excel trick is dragging down the formula bar to make it multi-line and inserting newlines in formulas. You can turn absurd single-line-of-code functions into something readable.

I could do half-screen nested array formulas back before the ribbon. But then having a life is also important... The only thing I still enjoy is that any data smaller than 1M rows is sliced and diced almost without thinking.

Let's spend years plugging holes in V8, splitting browser components to separate processes and improving sandboxing and then just plug in LLM with debugging enabled into Chrome. Great idea. Last time we had such a great idea it was lead in gasoline.

Claude seems to have access to a tool to evaluate JS on the webpage using the Chrome debugger. However, don't worry about the security! There is a comprehensive set of regexes to prevent secrets from being exfiltrated.

I used this on my Zillow saved listings. I prompted it to analyze 70 listings and summarize price drops and it mostly failed at the task. It gave the impression it paginated through all listings but I don't think it actually did.

It's important to distinguish between an error from the perspective of an individual operation and an error from the perspective of the overall program. Individual operations may experience errors that are not error level log events for the overall program.

How I'd treat them: Critical/Fatal for unrecoverable without human intervention, someone needs to get out of bed. Error for recoverable but with data/state loss. Warning for recoverable without intervention but must have an issue created and prioritized.

It's difficult to say without knowing how the system is deployed. 'Cannot contact port 25 on remote host' might or might not be an error depending on whether the problem is local or remote.

OpenSCAD's limitations motivated me to write a Python library for 3D meshes using signed distance functions. One big plus is it's 'just' Python and you can use arbitrary logic. You can even load an existing mesh and operate on it.

Just started using OpenSCAD and love it. While most CAD tools have a million features to learn, OpenSCAD is completely described by a cheat sheet you could print on A4. I would recommend using git master rather than the latest release though.

The great thing about OpenSCAD is that it makes it easy to 3D model things using spheres, cylinders, and cubes. The awful thing is that what you can model is limited by your ability to mathematically stretch, rotate, and arrange those primitives.
